Do the centre on foot first
1. Start at Skanderbeg Square. It is the logical orientation point for the Et'hem Bey Mosque, Clock Tower, Opera, and National History Museum area. Give it an hour, then continue on foot toward the Pyramid and Blloku rather than using a taxi for this compact stretch. 2. Visit Bunk'Art 2 if your time is limited. Its central location makes it the easier Cold War stop to combine with the square. Leave more time for Bunk'Art 1, which is outside the core and works better as part of a Mount Dajti outing.
Choose between the bunker and the mountain
3. Take the Dajti Ekspres when the weather is clear. The cable car and mountain area take a half-day once you include the ride, views, and return. Go earlier on a hot day or later for lower light, but check operating hours before relying on it after a flight. 4. Use the Pyramid and Blloku as an evening route. Walk through the redeveloped Pyramid area, continue into Blloku for cafés or dinner, and finish at the Grand Park if you want a quieter loop. The park is a better place for a slow walk than a checklist attraction.
Build in a market stop, not a rushed museum day
5. Visit Pazari i Ri for lunch or supplies. It is close enough to the centre to add without a separate journey, and works best around a meal rather than as a formal sightseeing stop. Tirana traffic can turn short car journeys into long ones, so group plans by neighbourhood and use walking or a taxi app for the longer gaps. For a route that pairs the centre with a meal, use the Tirana food guide; for a late arrival or early airport departure, see where to base yourself.
